Pakistan President Pervez Musharraf said he believed chances of war with India were minimal, as a U.S.-led diplomatic offensive to defuse the crisis between the nuclear-armed rivals showed signs of progress. But both sides shelled each other overnight in the daily skirmishing along the tense frontiers of divided Kashmir since the crisis erupted six months ago.
