| MACON,GA.- Intown Macon and Midsummer Macon are partnering to present a Christmas Candlelight Tour of Homes tour featuring ten residences in Macon's oldest and largest historic district on December 4 and 5, 2004. Homes dating from 1879 to 1920 will be dressed in holiday finery and lit by candlelight. Each site will feature outstanding musical talent from Mid Summer Macon students, faculty, and friends. In addition, Intown resident and Master Gardener Martha Duke will offer decorating ideas and demonstrations to brighten your own home and inspire your holiday spirit. James Barfield and Walter Elliott will also be on hand to sign copies of their new book "Living Macon Style." The recently renovated Unitarian Universalist Church on High Street Church will also be open and decorated for the holidays. Whatever your interest - historic homes, antique furnishings, holiday decorations, festive music - this tour has it all! Tickets for the tour are $15 in advance, $20 the day of the tour. Tour times are Saturday, December 4th from 3-8:00 p.m. and Sunday, December 5th from 1-5:00 p.m. Proceeds from this tour will benefit ongoing historic preservation projects by Macon's Intown Neighborhood Association and provide scholarship assistance for students interested in studying the arts at MidSummer Macon.
