| If y'all don't like Dixie, Delta is ready | | By: Lewis Grizzard | | Thur Oct 25, 2007 9:28 AM EDT
MACON,GA.- I don't care what they do to the Georgia state flag. They can put a big peach on the thing as far as I'm concerned. They can put Deion Sanders' smiling face on it.
And let it be known that the opponents of the flag, with its reminiscence of the Confederate banner, will bring down that flag.
One way or the other, color it red, white, blue and gone. It's politically incorrect and all the things that are deemed such have no future in this country.
We elected Hillary Rodham Clinton and the ban on the gays in the military will be lifted. It's a done deal. Like it or not, the Georgia state flag has no chance either.
The issue on my mind is white Southerners like myself.
They don't like us. They don't trust us. They want to tell us why we're wrong. They want to tell us how we should change.
They is practically every s.o.b. who isn't one of us.
I read a piece on the op-ed page of the Constitution written by somebody who in the jargon of my past "ain't from around here."
He wrote white Southerners are always looking back and that we should look forward. He said that about me.
I'm looking back? I live in one of the most progressive cities in the world. We built a subway to make Yankees feel at home.
And I live in a region the rest of the country can't wait to move to.
A friend, also a native Southerner, who shares my anger about the constant belittling of our kind and our place in this world, put it this way: "Nobody is going into an Atlanta bar tonight celebrating because they've just been transferred to New Jersey."
Damn straight.
I was having lunch at an Atlanta golf club recently. I was talking with friends.
A man sitting at another table heard me speaking and asked, "Where are you all from?" He was mocking me. He was mocking my Southern accent. He was sitting in Atlanta, Ga., and was making fun of the way I speak.
He was from Toledo. He had been transferred to Atlanta. If I hadn't have been 46 years old, skinny and a basic coward with a bad heart, I'd have punched him. I did, however, give him a severe verbal dressing down.
I was in my doctor's office in Atlanta. One of the women who works there, a transplanted Northerner, asked how I pronounced the world "siren."
I said I pronounced it "si-reen." I was half kidding, but that is the way I heard the word pronounced when I was a child.
The woman laughed and said, "You Southerners really crack me up. You have a language all your own."
Yeah we do. If you don't like it, go back home and stick your head in a snow bank.
They want to tell us how to speak, how to live, what to eat, what to think and they also want to tell us how they used to do it back in Buffalo.
Buffalo? What was the score? A hundred and ten to Zip.
The man writing on the op-ed page was writing about that bumper sticker that shows the old Confederate soldier and he's saying, "FERGIT HELL!" I don't go around sulking about the fact the South lost the Civil War. But I am aware that once upon a long time ago, a group of Americans saw fit to rebel against what they thought was an overbearing federal government. There is no record anywhere that indicates anybody in my family living in 1861 owned slaves. As a matter of fact, I come from a long line of sharecroppers, horse thieves and used car dealers. But a few of them fought anyway -- not to keep their slaves, because they didn't have any. I guess they simply thought it was the right thing to do at the time.
Whatever the reason, there was a citizenry that once saw fit to fight and die and I come from all that, and I look at those people as brave and gallant, and a frightful force until their hearts and their lands were burnt away.
I will never turn my back on that heritage.
But know this: I'm a white man and I'm a Southerner. And I'm sick of being told what is wrong with me from outside critics, and I'm tired of being stereotyped as a refugee from "God's Little Acre."
If I've said it once, I've said it a thousand times, and I'll probably have to say it a thousand times again.
Delta may be hurting financially, but it's still ready to take you back to Toledo when you are ready to go.

Like it or not, the Bible clearly states that these things mean life or death for ourselves and our family's, just like Noah and his family.
If it is in fact a life or death matter, we should believe stronly that our creator will help us to clearly see what the truth really is.
If you are honest hearted and want that truth, say a silent prayer asking for truth, and watch what happens!
If you are enjoying blissful ignorance and want to remain that way, just keep telling yourself, I can worship God in any way I so desire, and he must accept that which feels good to me.

Hey did you guys see this court case.
Judge: “The prosecution may proceed to question the Witness.”
Mr. Bitter: Pacing methodically. “Is it not in fact the case that the JW’s have a bible based moral code that guides the conduct within each congregation?” Spins dramatically on his heels. “And is it not in fact the case that if members willfully ignore those morals they can in fact lose their membership and association with Jehovah’s Witnesses?”
Defendant: “Yes, we do have guidelines that help protect and respect the members who are willing to abide by Bible principl…..”
Mr. Bitter: “LIAR, TROLL, SPAMMER. You have no right to speak. This trial is for me to accuse you – you cannot speak here.” Prosecution team begins chanting, spammer-stalker-spammer-stalker…
Defense: Standing up. “Your honor!”
Judge: “Mr. Bitter, this is a public trial. The whole point is that the defendant answer.”
Mr. Bitter: Runs up to bench and speaks in a lower tone. “Your honor the defendant must not be allowed to speak.”
Judge: “Are you out of your mind. On what basis?”
Mr. Bitter: “Your honor, his testimony could ruin my case. It is imperative that the jury not be allowed to hear the defendant speak.”
Judge: “I want to see lawyers for both side in my chambers now.”
In chambers.
Judge: “Mr. Bitter…”
Mr. Bitter “Your honor, you don’t understand…”
Judge: “Mr. Bitter, this is an open and fair forum, not the Spanish inquisition. Why is it that every time the defendant goes to answer one of your accusations you holler insults?”
Mr. Bitter “You can’t listen to them your honor.” Starts tapping his temple with his finger. “Their using mind-control. Think about it. When they talk they are telling you what to think.”
Judge: “So what is it when you speak?”
Mr. Bitter: “I’m telling the truth. They’re liars, all of them.”
Judge: “All eight million of them are liars? Some huge conspiracy… of eight MILLION?”
Mr. Bitter: “They believe they have the truth. Don’t you see how evil that is?”
Judge: “A religious group that feels they have the truth. Uh yeah, that’s highly irregular, for sure.”
Mr. Bitter: “This organization must be destroyed your honor…”
Judge: “Mr. Bitter, why are you bringing this case?”
Mr. Bitter: Starts out looking down mumbling. “They kicked me out. They kicked me out and I hate them.” Gets louder. “I hate them every day and I won’t stop until I get my revenge. I will work on the Internet every day speaking against them. I’ll stand outside their assemblies and hold up banners. No matter how hard it is I will work tirelessly to fight them, day and night. My whole life is about hating Jehovah’s Witnesses now.”
Judge: Raises eyebrows. “Wow. You don’t have anything else that interests you?”
Mr. Bitter: “Umm, I built a website about hating Jehovahs Witnesses. Oh, and I’m trying to get an organization together that hates JW’s. Already got some members – although most of them aren’t as enthusiastic as me. Well, some are, but they wanted to be in charge of the organization and went off and started their own. I guess everyone wants people to follow them.”
Judge: “I see. Is it working?”
Mr. Bitter: “Well… I don’t know. It could be… But, they’ve tripled in numbers since I started so… maybe no so much.”
Judge: “So lets say that you succeed in getting someone to leave. What do you offer them to replace an entire way of life?”
Mr. Bitter: “What? I dunno. Freedom I guess.”
Judge: “Is that what you have? Because you sound more possessed and enslaved by an idea than anyone I think I’ve met.”
Mr. Bitter: “Am not.”
Judge: “OK, lets try this again and this time Mr. Bitter try and control yourself.” Back in court.
Defendant: “Ok, so as I was saying in answer to your question…”
Mr. Bitter: Puts hands over ears. “AHH, Watchtower propaganda. You stalking troll. You, you TROLL. You’re stalking me.” Entire prosecution team starts yelling.

What are we to conclude from some of these postings?
I take a balanced view, one Pope does not make the whole Catholic churh bad, overall tolerance of wrong doing does indicate that the organization is not trying to conform to God's laws written in the Bible.
Many in the early times of Israel hated God's people, yet a superb case against them was made by God himself yet this in no way constituted that they were no longer his chosen people.
Fast forward to today, in comparison to the first century model set for Christians, is their any organization that is following that model?
What should we expect from God's approved religion? All those who say they are God's spokesmen are not, by the fruits and by their false doctrines they are easy to cull out as it were.
Read, you Bible for yourself, note how many of these posts sound like the accusations made against Christ and the early Christians, and the question I posed about what if there were an internet in those days is one to meditate on.
Now as in those days, Jesus was murdered and so were many of his followers, he was hated without cause, his imperfect followers, like Peter, Paul and other's no doubt gave more valid fodder for the hate monger's to rail about. Should we give weight to the statements made about those people, we can examine them but remembering that Jesus said he was hated and so were his followers should help us keep a balanced view point of the comments.
In other words, if we had listened to those who hated Jesus we would not have thought him to be the Christ. The same will be true with a modern day search for truth, true Christians will be hated, not because they were involved in all the wars and violence of the world, but because they follow Jesus a closely as they can. Remember to, Noah no doubt had to watch as many from his family died in the flood, his wife, his sons, their wives, all of them lost family members, yet, they did not allow them to influence their decision to stay safe on the Ark. As for those with such horid complaints about their former brothers and sisters, is that not something between you them and God?
Go start a new life, and as you well know, the only ones interested in the stories are those who have already made up their minds, no one else cares;these same ones did not care when you used to go door to door and they do not care now that you hate your former friends, and for that matter they do not care about my ramblings either.

Dear Margitta,
From what you have said, I assume your Mother is a Jehovah's Witness. And from what you are saying, Your Mother seems to be telling you many things about the religion and it is causing you to have many fears and doubt's. Please don't fear men ok? The Bible says in (Matthew 11:29-30) . . .Take my yoke upon YOU and learn from me, for I am mild-tempered and lowly in heart, and YOU will find refreshment for YOUR souls. 30 For my yoke is kindly and my load is light.” Here I am trying to send you some very Upbuilding scriptures and I hope you will look these up in your Own Bible.
(Proverbs 29:25-26) 25 Trembling at men is what lays a snare, but he that is trusting in Jehovah will be protected. 26 Many are those seeking the face of a ruler, but the judgment of a man is from Jehovah.
I also feel bad for your Nephews, Many Governments have Other Service for those that don't want to fight in the Military. Personally I have heard that IF they request it in Court. They could be placed in a Civilian Hospital. By the way I love your Country. I have always loved the beauty of the mountains and such. They remind me of a lot of Montana (USA) here.
I had a brush with the Elders in that Local Kingdom hall over many Spiritual Issues. I was just a Publisher and I guess NOT ALLOWED to point out Where Jehovah's Spirit Clearly was telling me that We had IDOLATRY right inside the Kingdom Hall and it was so hard to go worship the True God Jehovah while reclining on Chairs with the Trinity Logo and a Pagan Crest. I have Just seen What I was doing that made the Elders Mad at Me. I will show you, (Below.)
THIS IS A LONG SUBJECT MARGITTA, But Please Read it. The Brother(s) Comments at this Trial show the inner workings of the Organization. (This is Public Record) I know from these that this is the REAL REASON the Watchtower Bible & Tract Society Hates the Internet. Please read the entire Court Docket.
The Watchtower Testifies About False Prophecy
The Walsh Trial 1954
In 1954 in Scotland the Jehovah's Witnesses sued the Ministries of Labour and National Services. This was a test case brought by the Society to set a precedent for future Witnesses.
The complete record of this trial is available to anyone for the price of the microfilm (details at the end of this article). It is the invaluable testimony given by the leaders of the Society. They make admissions in court that they have not made anywhere else
Those who testified for the Society were Fred Franz, the Vice-President; H.C.Covington, the head legal counsel of the Society at that time; Grant Suiter, the Secretary-Treasurer of the Society; A.R.Hughes, the British Branch Servant; and D. Walsh, the Congregation Servant who brought the suit. Just a few quotations appear in this article, those covering interesting statements. They speak for themselves. During the trial Fred Franz, Vice-President of the Society, gave the following answers:
Q. Who is responsible for the interpretation in case of doubt, or in general, of scriptural writings for the guidance of Jehovah's Witnesses?
A. We believe that Jehovah God who is author and inspirer of the Bible is he one who makes the interpretations. he is his own interpreter. He does this by the use of his invisible active force, the Holy Spirit acting upon the mind of his witnesses upon this earth, and he causes events to come to pass in the earth which are in fulfillment of his prophetic word and which, therefore, throw light upon the true significance of his word.
Q. That is very helpful, but it does not quite meet the point I was making. What I want you to tell me was whether you can say how the Biblical texts are authoritatively interpreted: who is the interpreter?
A. Jehovah God is the interpreter, but he guides his people upon this earth, and in this case the editorial committee of the Society, they study the Scriptures continually, and they examine and re-examine the evidence as it appears, and under this Divine guidance with the help of the Holy Spirit they arrive at an understanding of the Scripture.
Grant Suiter testified:
Q. Indeed can any person...have an understanding of the Scriptures apart from the publications of Jehovah's Witnesses?
A. No.
Q. Only by the publications can he have a right understanding of the Scriptures?
A. That is right.
Q. Is that not arrogance?
A. No.
Mr. H.C.Covington, the head legal counsel of the Society at that time, gave the following testimony:
Q. Is it not vital to speak the truth on religious matters?
A. It certainly is.
Q. Is there in your view room in a religion for a change of interpretation of Holy Writ from time to time?
A. There is every reason for a change in interpretation as we view it, of the Bible. Our view becomes more clear as we see the prophesy fulfilled by time.
Q. You have promulgated -- forgive the word -- false prophesy?
A. We have -- I do not think we have promulgated false prophesy, there have been statements that were erroneous, that is the way I put it, and mistaken.
Q. Is it a most vital consideration in the present situation of the world to know if the prophesy can be interpreted into terms of fact, when Christ's Second Coming was?
A. That is true, and we have always striven to see that we have the truth before we utter it. We go on the very best information we have but we cannot wait until we get perfect, because if we wait until we get perfect we would never be able to speak.
Q. Let us follow that up just a little. It was promulgated as a matter which must be believed by all members of Jehovah's Witnesses that the Lord's Second Coming took place in 1874?
A. I am not familiar with that. You are speaking on a matter that I know nothing of.
Q. You heard Mr. Franz's evidence?
A. I heard Mr. Franz testify, but I am not familiar with what he said on that, I mean the subject matter of what he was talking about, so I cannot answer any more than you can, having heard what he said.
Q. Leave me out of it?
A. That is the source of my information, what I have heard in court.
Q. You have studied the literature of your movement?
A. Yes, but not all of it. I have not studied the seven volumes of "St udies in the Scriptures," and I have not studied this matter that you are mentioning now of 1874. I am not at all familiar with that.
Q. Assume from me that it was promulgated as authoritative by the Society that Christ's Second Coming was in 1874?
A. Taking that assumption as a fact, it is a hypothetical statement.
Q. That was the publication of false prophesy?
A. That was the publication of a false prophesy, it was a false statement or an erronious statement in fulfilment of a prophesy that was false or erroneous.
Here the One's speaking at trial for the Watchtower clearly admit to Spreading False Prophesy! This goes on to say that a Jehovah's Witness MUST Believe what is Printed by the Slave, even IF it is False Prophecy that they are spreading. If a Jehovah's Witness is to be heard saying that they do Not Believe what the Society says as far as prophesy. They WILL BE DISFELLOWSHIPPED.
http://www.forananswer.org/Top_JW/WalshTrial.htm
(Deuteronomy 18:20-22) . . .“‘However, the prophet who presumes to speak in my name a word that I have not commanded him to speak or who speaks in the name of other gods, that prophet must die. 21 And in case you should say in your heart: “How shall we know the word that Jehovah has not spoken?” 22 when the prophet speaks in the name of Jehovah and the word does not occur or come true, that is the word that Jehovah did not speak. With presumptuousness the prophet spoke it.. . .
Q. And that had to be believed by the whole of Jehovah's Witnesses?
A. Yes, because you must understand we must have unity, we cannot have disunity with a lot of people going every way, an army is supposed to march in step.
Q. You do not believe in the worldly armies, do you?
A. We believe in the Christian Army of God.
Q. Do you believe in the worldly armies?
A. We have nothing to say about that, we do not preach against them, we merely say that the worldly armies, like the nations of the world today, are a part of Satan's Organization, and we do not take part in them, but we do not say the nations cannot have their armies, we do not preach against warfare, we are merely claiming our exemption from it, that is all.
Q. Back to the point now. A false prophesy was promulgated?
A. I agree that.
Q. It had to be accepted by Jehovah's Witnesses?
A. That is correct.
Q. If a member of Jehovah's Witnesses took the view himself that that prophesy was wrong and said so he would be disfellowshipped?
A.Yes, if he said so and kept persisting in creating trouble, because if the whole organisation believes one thing, even though it be erronious and somebody else starts on his own trying to put his ideas across then there is disunity and trouble, there cannot be harmony, there cannot be marching. When a change comes it should come from the proper source, the head of the organisation, the governing body, not from the bottom upwards, because everybody would have ideas, and the organisation would disintegrate and go in a thousand different directions. Our purpose is to have unity.
Q. Unity at all costs?
A. Unity at all costs, because we believe and are sure that Jehovah God is using our organisation, the governing body of our organisation to direct it, even though mistakes are made from time to time.
Q. And unity based upon an enforced acceptance of false prophecy?
A. That is conceded to be true.
Q. And the person who expressed his view, as you say, that it was wrong, and was disfellowshipped, would be in breach of the Covenant, if he was baptized?
A. That is correct.
Q. And as you said yesterday expressly, would be worthy of death?
A. I think - - -
Q. Would you say yes or no?
A. I will answer yes, unhesitatingly.
Q. Do you call that religion?
A. It certainly is.
Q. Do you call it Christianity?
A. I certainly do.
Mr. Fred Franz also gave the following testimony:
Q. Where on that particular point does the adherent to the Society find any enlightenment?
A. In the publication that he reads.
Q. Must he read them all to arrive at the fact that upon this one point Judge Rutherford was in error?
A. It isn't necessary for him to read that Judge Rutherford is in error on that point. What he is interested in is the present truth. The up-to-date truth.
Q.Yesterday's errors cease to be published today, do they?
A. Yes, we correct ourselves.
Q. But not always expressly?
A. We correct ourselves as it becomes due to make a correction, and if anything is under study we make no statement of it until we are certain.
Q. But one may not assume that Judge Rutherford did not publish until he also was certain?
A. He published only when convinced, and he withheld publication until he was convinced he was correct.
Q. So that what is published as the truth today by the Society may have to be admitted to be wrong in a few years?
A. We have to wait and see.
If you are interested in a copy of the complete trial it can be obtained from - The Scottish Record Office, H.M. General Register House, Edinburgh, Scotland. Ask for the Pursuer's Proof of Douglas Walsh vs. The Right Honourable James Latham Clyde, M.P. P.C., as representing the Ministry of Labour and National Service.
I was an Aux-Pioneer the day they Disfellowshipped me. I had raised that question about the Trinity Logo that was located on the Chairs at the Kingdom hall. I also had provided a 12 page printout detailing the "Crest" logo.
My other Error was the Kingdom Hall was named ( Saint. Ignatius Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses) I for Years have been very upset that they would carry the name of a Catholic Priest as the name of Jehovah's House of Worship. I was told it was accepted by New York so just leave it.
That is almost as bad as reading for YEARS about the United Nations and how it was the "Wild Beast" and "Drunken Harlot" Then to find out the SOCIETY HAD SECRETLY Joined the UN as a NGO and DPI. I was upset about that. I even called the UN and I was told that sad "Truth" that they had in fact Supported the UN as a Member. All NGO'S and DPI'S have to Support in Full the UN and it's Goals.
They did this and if you Search all the Awake Mag's you will see they gave FULL SUPPORT, Yet in the Watchtower they were calling the UN the Wild Beast. I am sure they never gave them Watchtowers, Only Awakes. However, Would being a Member of the UN be Bad in Jehovah's eye's???
In the Watchtower of 19 January 1st page. 31 Questions From Readers
In joining the YMCA as a member a person accepts or endorses the general objectives and principles of the organization. He is not simply paying for something he receives, such as when buying things being sold to the public at a store. (Compare 1 Corinthians 8:10; 10:25.) Nor is his membership merely an entry pass, as when a person buys a theater ticket. Membership means that one has become an integral part of this organization founded with definite religious objectives, including the promotion of interfaith. Hence, for one of Jehovah’s Witnesses to become a member of such a so-called “Christian” association would amount to apostasy.
Yes, They later said "We Needed a Library Pass." That was a Lie!. The UN says you don't need to be a Member to receive access to the Library. Things only Changed After September 11 2001 or 9/11 to increase security.
What else dose the Society say about the UN?
And again in the Watchtower of 1976 January 15th page. 53 par. 24 The Coming Deliverance from the Anti-Religious “Ax” *** At the outbreak of the “great tribulation” the Watch Tower Bible and Tract Society of Pennsylvania and its Branches around the earth will refuse to join the United Nations “wild beast” in its violent anti-religious actions against Babylon the Great.
So it is Very sad that They, THE WATCHTOWER is now lying, Here we have a God where the Bible clearly says it is IMPOSSIBLE for Jehovah God to Lie. And now They, The Watchtower falls behind the Their most treasured Belief. THE THEOCRATIC WARFARE DOCTRINE.U This Doctrine allows a Jehovah's Witness to Lie or do anything to Protect the Organization, They even say that in a Official Courtroom and when you are asked Under OATH. That No Great the Love hath any man then to lay his life down so that his brother(s) my live. In this case it is clear the Society wants the Protection.
I was a Jehovah's Witnesses for 24 years.
I still worship MY GOD JEHOVAH. However my Trust is in his Son Christ Jesus and HIS GRACE.
Yes Jesus is the ONLY MEDIATOR Between My God and Me or Mankind in General. I am so sorry that there are those in New York that actually think that they are the Mediator for God and Me. A Mediator, Mediates between two People. So again Jehovah and Jesus are Mediating for Me. After all, Christ Died for me. He is a Propitiatory Sacrifice.
Most Witnesses don't realize the questions for being Baptized Changed After 1985. Yes Before 1985 You were Baptized into the CHRIST!! After 1985, You were Baptized into "God's Spirit Directed Organization."
(Romans 5:8) . . .But God recommends his own love to us in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us. . .
(Romans 6:2-3) . . .Seeing that we died with reference to sin, how shall we keep on living any longer in it? 3 Or do YOU not know that all of us who were baptized into Christ . . .
(Romans 14:9) . . .For to this end Christ died and came to life again, that he might be Lord over both the dead and the living.
(Romans 14:11-12) . . .for it is written: “‘As I live,’ says Jehovah, ‘to me every knee will bend down, and every tongue will make open acknowledgment to God.’” 12 So, then, each of us will render an account for himself to God.
Watchtower 1983 November/15 page. 26 paragraph 3 Abound in Hope! (Above we Bend to Jehovah and Below to Jesus)
God exalted him to a superior position and kindly gave him the name that is above every other name, so that in the name of Jesus every knee should bend of those in heaven and those on earth and those under the ground, and every tongue should openly acknowledge that Jesus Christ is Lord to the glory of God the Father.”—Philippians 2:9-11.
I am glad that Your NOT in that Religion anymore. I Hope though that you still Worship Jehovah and his Son Christ Jesus. Man will not Protect you. Remember, If you walk into a Forest for 1 Mile, Be Prepared to walk back out for that mile. Sometimes you get lost on the way. So Mark your Trail. Protect yourself and your Family. No Organization can give us Life Everlasting as it is a Free GIFT from God.
My Love to you and your Family. STEVE

Student,
You also asked:"Now, if they were fooled for so long, what would make them someone that anyone would want to take religious advice from? If Witnesses were so clearly Satanic, and you could not see it,for years! really, why would anyone want to base such an important decision as their own faith based on your insight or lack thereof."
Why? Because of fear.... Tell me, how would you feel walking into another church? How often in your study publications are you indoctrinated with fear of other religions? How do you feel when a householder invites you in and starts to show you information about the Watchtower? If you are like every other Witness, your mind shuts down right there, because you are afraid to hear anything bad about the organization. Because you have been indoctrinated with fear....
I hold no hatred in my heart, but only sympathy and love for those who are still captive. I have prayed for God's forgiveness for the years that I was so zealous about preaching the wrong Gospel. I have prayed in thanksgiving to God for the householder who took the time to invite us in and share with us a tract from her church. And my God is forgiving. I do not have to hold guilt with Him. He showed me that even the Apostle Paul was once like me - zealously killing Christians and imagining he was doing God a service. But God reached out to him and showed him the right way and I never once heard God condemn him for his past.
Student, I pray that God reaches out to you as well.

Interesting, this article is about Jehovah's Witnesses intrusive cold calling and how their eternal life scams are not wanted.
Still they are defiant and spam this forum with their preaching watchtower propaganda.

Student, You asked some questions earlier:
Do the former Witnesses now believe in God? For myself, absolutely. Other former Witnesses were not so fortunate - the concept of God was utterly ruined for them by the Watchtower Society. As for me, I am far closer to God then I ever was with 30+ years in the Watchtower Society as a regular pioneer.
Do they, as when they were Witnesses believe that Jesus was the son of God and not God, the trinity doctrine?
I have read the NIV Bible, the King James Bible, and other translations and have prayed on the matter. It was a hard concept after so much indoctrination, but the Bible is very clear about Jesus being God. I cannot believe Scripture after Scripture that I find that shows this to me. Scriptures that are totally mis-translated and twisted in the Watchtower Bible.
Do they believe God burns people forever in Hell?
Hell is total separation from God. The Bible is quite clear on that. Do a Google search and see what Christians believe before you jump into the Watchtower theology that "all Christendom teaches a burning hell."
What are their feelings now about other religions, do they all represent God, or will another religion arrive that will have the whole truth?
Whether a religion, or even a person represents God is between that person and God. My devotion is to God, not to a religion. Whenever a religion attempts to step in the place of God, it is a dangerous thing. The truth is to be found in the Bible and in a personal relationship with Jesus.

Wow, I once knew a Baptist...I once knew a Methodist...., I once knew a Catholic,,,,I can tell you a story about one or two of JW's, I can tell you a story about a Mormon I know....
King David had someone killed to hide adultery. Moses was not allowed into the promised land for not giving credit to God, a whole group of Jews raped a woman to death, two Christians in early times lied then died at the hand of God.
Individuals, you, me, and all others fail, no matter how hard we try we will never in our imperfect state go without mistakes. Granted, some of the above go beyond mistakes, but God having those stories written was a message to all of us, as Paul said, "When he chose me, he chose the worst". In other words, if he could forgave all these very bad sins, (still they were punished,) then he can forgive us for our minor or sometimes major mistakes. But only if we repent, if you will, and we cannot continue the sins over and over.
Organizations that claim to represent God are held by him to a much higher standard. If you read the last chapter of the Gospel of John, you will find where the Apostles spread the word that Jesus would be back(and end the world), before John died. There you go, a end of the world prediction and by the Apostles! If you take a moment and think about it, the letters to the congregations were to Christians, have you ever read what some of them were up to, wow, it sometimes got nasty. These things going on in the true Christian congregation caused the real truth to be spoken of in very bad terms.
That did not mean the organization was bad, at least at that time, but it was those not following the counsel of Jesus who were causing all the bad press, or Google pages.
With that in mind, those of us who desire to serve God must wade through the false teachers and prophets, the point is easily made that no organization is without mistakes, only two men ever lived that were perfect. No human servants of the creator have ever served him with sin, period. In my PERSONAL serch, I have spoken to it seems someone from every religion, the factors that I give more weight to, are doctrine, works, and worldwide love. All but a couple of so called Christian religions teach that Jesus is, was God, I feel that is a pagan teaching. Most religions are very involved in politics and war, non Christian in my view, all of the religions have devisions within themselves and other groups. I do find they have one thing in common, they seem to all truly dislike Witnesses!
We can rest assured of this, if we truly want the truth, God will give us a chance to take hold of it, it will be proven ONLY by the Bible, and it will not be easy, Jesus said we must pickup our torture stake and do the things he tells us to.

Oh Darn! I forgot to Mention something.
Jesus is the ONLY MEDIATOR between God and Man. Jesus Died for OUR SINS.
No Where does the Bible say that the Watchtower Bible and Tract Society Died for Me. Nor are they to Stand between Jesus and Jehovah as My Mediator.
For them to Claim that They Are God's Organization here on Earth, Then Make all the False Claims to the Dates of the Time of the End. And When Jesus would return. Then Read (Deut,18:20-22)
When Jesus's disciples asked When would be a Sign of His Presence. Jesus said, Not I nor the Angels would know, But ONLY his Father. Yet Our beloved Watchtower has on so many date's said The End is Here. 1914, 1918, 1925, 1975 I remember 1975. Everyone was either Selling their homes or going so far into debt cause WTH they would not have to repay it.
RESEARCH< RESEARCH< RESEARCH.
John 17:3 Know the TRUTH and it "WILL" set you Free.

What if you Googled Jesus and the Christians? Ok, lets try this. If there had been an internet in the days of Jesus and the early Christians and you did a Google search what would most of the sites be saying?
What would some to the topics be?
Here's one, "Jesus seen with prostitutes, "I was right there says one eyewitness, I saw all of it, and this guy is supposed to be the Christ? No way"!
Here is another: Former carpenter now son of God advocates overthrow of Governent. A former follower had this to say, "Man, I could not believe my ears, but he said it, the Kingdom is in your midst, and I was like what do you mean? And he just said something like, "My kingdom is no part of this world". "Man, I want no part of a revolution, this guy is over the top". Says one former Christian Elder, "It is what I have been saying all along, this group is dangerous, we need to stamp them out. When they come to your door, just slam it in their face, they are a cult"!
Jesus advocates cannibalism. The so called Christ and son of God was recently quoted as saying that being a cannibal is ok, it is not a sin. An ear witness had this to say, "Man, I could not believe my ears, but he said it, "you must drink my blood and eat my body, I mean, what are we talking here, is there going to be like a McJesus or something, how can we all drink his blood and eat his flesh? I could not hear anymore and a bunch of us stopped following him". One former Christian Elder had this to say, "It is like I have been telling you all along, this guy is a cult leader, and he his dangerous, we need to stop him. When they come to your door, just slam it in their face"!
Former servants of Jehovah disfellowshipped. A spokesman for the high priest had this to say, "We have one God and his name is Jehovah, we do not need to go through some self proclaimed Chirst to speak to our God, we have our temple and that is where any self respecting Jew will go. We want to put all Jews on notice, you follow this man, and you will be thrown out of the temple, you will lose your job, your friends and your family". Says one former Christian Elder, who is still not welcome back at the temple, "It is what I have been saying all along, these people are dangerous, when they come to your door, slam it in their face, they are a cult".
Christians, stunned as their "King and Christ" is killed;
Christians were reeling today after Jesus was put to death, says one former follower of the dead carpenter, "I kept waiting for Jehovah to save him, but nothing happened and now he is gone". When asked what he planned to do now he responded, "All I can do is hope to get my old job back, maybe my family will take me back in, and I plan to make a trip up to the temple to see the priest, I can only hope it is not too late". A spokesperson for Jesus Cultwatch had this to say, " Well, it is what we were saying all along, this guy was a fake, he used magic tricks, and with help from the darkside he was able to fool a few people, but after all he did, we can only number them at 120, clearly the methods he employed were not effective. And the door to door stuff, whoa, the average Jew hated them coming around every Saturday, man, it was a pain. We have set up counseling programs for all former Christ cult member's, if you want more information you can contact us at www.jesuscultwatch.org.". A former Chistiian Elder had this to say, "It is what I have been saying all along, they kill children, they do not believe in Jehovah, and they are a cult, and now you will not have to worry because with him dead it is over! Next thing you know, they will be saying he is back from the dead, ha".
This just in, "Jesus back from dead says cult leaders..........
Do you get my point? All the bad things thar are being said about Jehovah's Witnesses, would be kind compared to what would have been written about Jesus and his followers, how do we know this? Just read the Gospels, it is right there!
Remember this, the only name and God the Jews knew was Jehovah or some form of that name, Jesus was considered a fake and for him to say all must now go through him to speak to Jehovah was met with what we all know, pure hatred and lies. Jesus said, he did not come to bring peace he came to bring a sword to families, mother against daughter, father against son and so on, I guess he started the whole love bomb thing!
Jesus and his followers were considered a cult, and as a matter of fact, all non Catholic religions were and in many cases still are considered cults as well.
Being hated does not mean that Jesus Christ was the son of God, being hated does not mean the Jehovah's Witnesses are the only true religion, but he did say that those who did follow him would be hated.
I find it funny that the so called true Christians support wars and will kill each other in wars, but this so called cult has been able to create a peaceful, organization that spans the globe. Satan could not create such a thing.
If you listened to all the bad things said about Jesus, you would not have followed him. You had to be humble, brave, and love God with all your heart, and you would have had to check for yourself if he was in fact the Christ sent from God, or a cult leader who was trying to take down the only religion you and your family had ever known.

I'm sorry about all your Problems with the Jehovah's Witnesses. Instead of telling them to place you on a Do Not Call List. It is faster to Install NO TRESPASSING Signs on your Property. The Watchtower Lawyers will NOT Defend a Jehovah's Witness if they cross onto Property that is Clearly Marked NO TRESPASSING. Most Jehovah's Witnesses are broke. They Buy 4-Door cars to make sure they can fit as many Brothers/Sisters in them and then go out in the Field Service together. This include Buying Gas, Tires, Insurance and Book-bags all at Their cost. Their Homes are cluttered with Magazines and Books that they have not been able to Place. If you Donate to them, The Money is turned in to the World Wide Work where it goes to print more Magazines and Books to sit on their Bookshelves at their homes. I feel Sorry for the Witnesses, If they Don't go out in their "Service" they are labeled "Inactive" and after a Time Disfellowshipped or Expelled and their Fear of Life has come true... Their Families "Must" Shun them and have no contact with them at all Unless of Family emergency like a Death. I really feel sad for a Male Member being Expelled. He even if He still believes in His God Jehovah and in the Christ is not allowed to say a Prayer for his Family During meals nor lead the family on any Spiritual quests. He or the Family member would have to sit in the very back of the Kingdom Hall until a period of time 6 Months to a Year or more until the Elders or Fellow Sinners as Christ says we are, Have decided he has Repented "ENOUGH" then he is welcomed back, But with Limited things to do.
Pre 1985 a Jehovah's Witness was Baptized into the Christ. After 1985 he is baptized into God's Theocratic Organization (No mention of the Christ) I would show you this from my JW CD-Rom but The Watchtower will Sue for Copyright if I Post that to a Non-JW. However, They bring the Same information to your Doors. I don't get it?
There are many things to think of as a Witness. Like If the Watchtower sells Property at 200,000,000 then why don't the Watchtower have a VISA Card so I can get Gas to go out in service and Drive My Car, My Gas and get Yelled at by People that Hate Witnesses because they don't understand the WORD... NO!
I would prefer if they Own all that New York Property and 90,000 PLUS Congregations that they Use that Wealth of Money and Use the DirecTV(R) or DishNetwork(R) or Local-Cable Company and Broadcast Our Message in that Venue. OR... Like they used to on the Radio Stations like they did in the day's of Old.
A man/woman should do their homework first:

The above link shows that If we as Members do not Accept a Belief or Dogma to be True even though it Has been PROVED to be FALSE. We can be Disfellowshipped. That fit's in, Why? Because when Asked what Faith we are whe Have to say Jehovah's Witnesses. We are Not allowed to Believe separately from the Watchtower. Again, Either we believe what is on Printed Page or we loose all contact with our Family when we are disfellowshipped for Saying that I don't Believe that.
The Proved things are, 1#.The Watchtower hates the Internet for this very Forum. (It is Apostate) 2#.Yet when I left the Catholic Church and renounced my Catholic Belief I was THEN an APOSTATE. 3#. The Watchtower has Many Lawyers. 4#. Google (Jehovah's Witnesses) ALERTS! And See what's Really going on in OUR Faith. I said OUR cause if I leave I loose my ENTIRE FAMILY! 5#. Go to www.silentlambs.com 6#. Go to www.e-watchman.com 7#. Go to YOUR BIBLE. 8#. Then Go to www.watchtower.org
BE INFORMED.

Very well said Laurie. And done in such a lovely way. You do not sound like a Zombie to me at all, hmm... If Witnesses were anything like the people say they are, these same people would not dare say the bad things they say, no most of them would be too afraid the Zombies would come to their house and get them.
The jury is coming back in....

As one of Jehovah's Witnesses I would like to say that wthe only reason we go from door to door is to help anyone who is interested to learn what's in their Bible.
We believe the Bible is a letter to us from God and as such it is vital we understand it. It answers questions like "What is God's purpose for the earth." "Why do bad things happen to good people." Etc. We don't get paid for what we do. Our motivation is only love of neighbor and love of God. Jesus sent his disciples out into their neighborhoods and further only to preach and teach so people could learn the things he (Jesus) taught them. If a person isn't interested, a simple "No thanks" will suffice. But having said that I will also say that recently a woman who had chased a friend of mine away one day, chased after her the next time she was in the neighborhood asking her to come in and answer some of her questions. You never know, so we visit again because, as it turns out almost all of us have changed our minds.
BTW, we are not solicitors in the legal sense.
Thankyou kindly,
Laurie

Moonrose, the people here are not Witnesses at least not anymore. They have chosen to leave their former faith, and they feel it is there duty to warn the rest of us not to make the same mistake they feel they made.
I am a former Baptist, yet I do not chase Baptist stories on Google, I do admit to sometimes coming out and disturbing the people I call the cult of the cult haters cult. They have made a religion out of hating or speaking abusivly of Witnesses.
If in fact the cult of the cult haters happen to be right about the Witnesses, they may share in the same fate of that group. For who sat them in a seat of judgement.
Most of what so called Christians have done is out there in history for everyone to see, the Inquisition, the Spanish civil war, the Crusades, the blessing of wholesale genocide of 100's of millions of innocent men, woman and children, all made possible with the help of the church and they stand ready to do it again! The pacts with Hitler, it goes on and on. The sins of so called Christians have reached into heaven itself.
The Witnesses go door to door, they do not kill anyone for anyone or thing. The children of Witnesses seem to know more than the pastor's at the church.
How is it possible for a cult to do what so called Christians have not done in 2000 years, have unity and peace.
But really, the Witnesses are the least of anyone's worries, look up, that is who we all need to be concerned with.

Sigh. You probably knew, Lewis, that writing this piece would draw the JWs out of the woodwork to take advantage of the open forum to preach at everyone.
The person above who mentioned telling them to put you on the "do not call" list is correct. As long as someone hasn't made you a "return visit," they are not supposed to go to houses where they've been told not to go. Of course, every few years, one of their elders will come by to make sure you still mean it. (Snorf.)
The JWs are so mind controlled that it's not an easy journey for them to see that their "governing body" is not the prophet of God that it claims to be. (Yes, they do, JWs. Look it up. It's a claim they've never taken back.
They believe their special interpretations of the Bible all lead to their "organization." If you're a good person... "honest hearted" or "sincere," you will eventually become one of them.
Sadly, they are a religion spawned by the perpetrator of a hostile corporate takeover of a religious publishing house. The system he generated creates an automatic readership and a free -- and tax-free -- circulation system. But in their mythology, it was all under God's direction.... Look it up...

I think JW fail to understand how G-d could become flesh and dwell among us as a human and still be G-d. I am sorry you can not understand this mystery; you just take it in faith. All in all, it just makes sense that for G-d to redeem us, blood has to be shed and the only blood worthy was His own blood.
Thank you Lord G-d almighty and please come soon. John 3:16 sure will help, It says he sent his only begotten SON, no reading between the lines there. If sent a part of himself, then he lied, he did not send his son.
Posted by: The Student on 10/24/2007
Well Shamrock, I did mention that I had questions about it, and it seems you do to?
If Yeshua was not G-d then why did He accept worship? If Yeshua was not G-d then how could He forgive sin? If Yeshua was not G-d then who else could have died for our sin? (No created being here)
You are happy with your conclusion, I am still looking for real answers to my questions.
How can you be God and with him at the same time?
Why does Jesus in his fleshly form make so many statements, like the Father is greater than I am, neither I nor the angels know the time of the end, only the Father knows? If God sent a third of some triune being that was himself, why did he say he sent his only begotten son, why not just tell us if it were so very important that we know him, and understand him?
Why did he pray to himself? Why did he say, My God, My God why have you forsaken me? Why does Hebrews say the son learned Godly fear, did he have to fear himself? Why is Jesus clearly shown as sitting at the right hand of God, if in fact he were God? When he died who brought him back to life?
With Jesus back in heaven for 63 years or so, why does Revelation 1:1 state that God gave Jesus the Revelation if in fact he was God?
I always wondered why many people in Bible times were named Jesus, yet no where can I find where a person was named YAHWEH, or Jehovah.

For the honest hearted, the truth always comes out, no matter what, and if you want it you will have your chance to take hold of it, if you do not, you will find a reason not to follow. Base your decision on the Bible, and on the fruits of those who claim to represent God. Interesting thought, do the former Witnesses now believe in God? Do they, as when they were Witnesses beleive that Jesus was the son of God and not God, the trinity doctrine? Do they believe God burns people forever in Hell? What are their feelings now about other religions, do they all represent God, or will another religion arrive that will have the whole truth?

am an ex Baptist, but that does not make me an expert! What I find interesting about all these ex Witnesses is that many of them were Witesses for quite a long time, this means that they also preached a message for years that they say is death dealing! Now, if they were fooled for so long, what would make them someone that anyone would want to take religious advice from? If Witnesses were so clearly Satanic, and you could not see it,for years! really, why would anyone want to base such an important decision as their own faith based on your insite or lack there of. I have some advice for those who hate their former brothers and friends so much, if in fact the Witnesses are as bad as you say, and you helped them for so many years to fool and really, kill people, get down on your hands and knees and pray, pray, pray, pray then pray some more, and hey, you were wrong once, maybe you are wrong this time as well. It seems many of these ex's have made a religion out of their hate, they all sound like ex husbands and wives, I have heard those people, and I always know their are two sides to every story.

To: "student" you just came on here and spammed 5 Watchtower propaganda post and will do more.
You JW followers are like brainwashed zombies, you don't get it that we don't want it.
When I exited the Jehovah's Witnesses in 1992 EVERY Jehovah's Witness around me,was convinced in their heart of hearts that they would NOT see 2007 in "this old system" Many had NO retirement plans for old age.
There are now twice as many former Jehovah's Witnesses as there are active ones with 13,000 leaving every month.

A note to all those who spread the hate messages about Witnesses, everytime you do it, you only confirm to those who do not want to believe, or who are just not interested that they are satisfied with that choice. On the other hand,to the honest hearted truth seekers it makes them want to look in it for themselves, they know that Jesus was hated to,and if they had lived in his day, I am certain they would have found out the truth about Jesus for themselves, and they would live forever.

I feel that I am a sincere truth seeker, so I have always approached the Trinity doctrine from the point of view of understanding it. I have tried not to dismiss it out of the box as a pagan doctrine although many pagan religions have had their triune gods.
Yet there are far too many unanswered questions about this belief to accept it at face value, and from my studies of the Bible I have found that simply believing you are right gets you no points from God, who must be worshiped with spirit and truth.
On a personal level, and no offence intended, the John 1:1 scripture brings up more questions than answers, and truly paints the Bible as a book that contradicts itself, if you take it at face value, that the Word was God.

I always wondered why many people in Bible times were named Jesus, yet no where can I find where a person was named YAHWEH, or Jehovah.
The whole, it is a great mystery, and God's mind is greater than ours explanation may be good enough for some, but not for me, I want answers. and up to this date not one preacher has been able to explain ANYTHING about the doctrine. Anyone who thinks ignorance is bliss with regards to God, really does not know the God of the Bible well, at least in my humble opinion.
Very interesting as well, is the fact that all the religions who teach this doctrine, are at unity in nothing else, yet Cor. 1:10 states that they must be.
There are hundreds more of the above questions, but I am sure no one wants to hear them!
1st John tells me to not beleive every expression but to test it out to see if it originates with God, I know the origin of the Trinity doctrine, it is not from God.

You may be misinformed, many of these people do nothing it seems, but tell their one sided stories all over the web. I know quite a few Witnesses myself, and find them to be very plesant people, I speak to the Mormons and any other preacher that wants to talk.
As to shunning, they are pandering to the already wary public, they no better, the Bible speaks of removing an unrepentant sinner from among you, key word unrepentant, continuing to sin. I find that most everyone shuns someone, don't you? What about the person who cheats on his wife, do you want to have him around, what about a person with a very foul mouth, do you want to hear it, do you avoid him or her? What about the person that does not like to take bath's, or who is known as a thief, you know we all shy away from them. It does not mean we hate them or are judging him we just know it is not healthy to say the least to be around them. Those who are disfellowshiped from the Witnesses faith do that themselves, and by the way, I know those who know longer attend meetings with the Witnesses, and no one shuns them, it is a lie. Based on what most of these people write here, if they have that attitude around their family, a family that is firmly in their faith, I would not blame them for not wanting to have to hear it. I will give you an example, the Trinity is a demonic lie, and if you insist on pushing that on me, you will get very tired of me showing you why it is a lie, you will shun me!

I am writing to express my concern for the one sided comments made by many here. Their comments give the tell, tell sign of those who are caught up in the hating and stalking those they think are a cult...cult. Yes, by their words they give away that they have been misled into thinking that they are not involved in a cult of cult hating cult people. We understand you do not realize you have been fooled into joining a cult who hates a cult...cult, but this is not unusual, many are fooled into this sort of thinking by the rough talk of the cult of haters of a cult, cult. We offer our help to these folks, you can go to our website, www.getoutofthecultoftheculthaterscultnow.com I want to say right out front, we too have been called a cult of those trying to help those in a cult of cult haters, and I can tell you there may some truth to that!

Religious FREEDOM does not exist in the Watchtower organization. If former members seek their own spiritual path, they pay a heavy price. Jehovah's Witnesses might not say, "Worship the way we tell you to, or we'll kill you." However, Jehovah's Witnesses will say, "Worship the way we tell you to or we'll cut you off from our lives and never speak to or acknowledge you again." It's called SHUNNING and it is affecting millions of people around the world. My family (mom, sister, brother)hasn't spoken to me in over 25 years. To see first-hand how Jehovah's Witnesses lie about the fact that they DO shun, watch this:

It could be worse. You could have JW family members who think it is appropriate to stand up in a funeral and give their own teachings about where the deceased has gone, thereby contradicting the pastor who was hired to do the service. That's what my JW father did when my greatgrandmother (my mother's grandmother) died. If that wasn't bad enough, they handed out tracts afterward. I was so enraged, it took me 3 weeks to calm down enough to confront him on the inappropriatenss of his behavior, for which he was entirely unapologetic.

"You’ll never get sick. You will never grow old. And you will never die."
Although the above words come from the movie "Cocoon," they could have come from the Watchtower Society because this is the same thing they have been proclaiming for decades as part of "the Creator’s promise of a peaceful and secure new world that is about to replace the present wicked lawless system of things."
This very appealing prospect attracts many people to begin to study the Bible with Jehovah’s Witnesses. It then sustains them as they eagerly wait for the fulfillment of this promise.
But during the course of their study they get drawn into an illusionary concept involving the Watchtower organization that gradually takes over their decision-making process and even their conscience without them realizing it. It happens because of a mistake that everyone makes before they decide to become a Jehovah’s Witness.
"Captives of a Concept" identifies both the concept and the mistake that causes people to become captives of it. The book also offers suggestions that may help some Jehovah’s Witnesses correct their mistake and teach themselves the truth about their religion.

Dear Mr. Grizzard: I am sorry to hear of your experiences and thought you might appreciate this piece of information. It is not the desire of Jehovah's witnesses to call repeatedly at the home of those who do not wish them to call again. The next time a witness calls, please inform them that you would like to be recorded in their records as not desiring them to call again. From that point forward the only witness that should be calling will do so to make sure that you are still the resident of the home and still do desire Jehovah's witnesses to call. This will prevent you from having any more unwanted or unappreciated calls.

Who are Jehovah's Witnesses? Dissident Jehovah's Witness speaks out.
No tolerance, the Jehovah's Witnesses are a cult because they try to cut you off from others who do not have the same beliefs, including family. The Watchtower is a truly Orwellian world.
