The Arts Exchange By Edna McCown
The Arts Exchange Grant Park's Multicultural Arts Center
The Southeast Community Cultural Center, also known as The Arts Exchange, is a multi-cultural, multi-disciplinary community arts organization founded in 1984, and housed in the former Grant Park Elementary School. The Center holds two festivals designed to introduce large numbers of diverse artists, groups and organizations to Atlanta: the Art Daze festival for youth, and the International Roots Festival. In addition, the Paul Robeson Performance Centre offers performance and rehearsal space to local, regional, national and international performing artists and groups. And the Xchange Gallery donates space for non-commercial exhibitions, with selections made by a volunteer panel of peer artist. Call the Center for a current schedule of events. -- Edna McCown
